Do I need ongoing professional development to maintain my license?

(1) Starting July 1, 2010, to maintain active practice, you must accumulate twenty-four professional development hours (PDHs) for the upcoming two-year renewal period. Starting July 1, 2012, the PDHs you accumulate are subject to audit by the board.

(2) Up to twelve PDHs over the required hours can be carried forward from the second year of your previous renewal period including hours accumulated from July 1, 2009, forward.
