(1) Rules governing track safety standards are prescribed by the United States Department of Transportation in Title 49, Part 213, of the Code of Federal Regulations, along with appendices. Information about Title 49 C.F.R. regarding the version adopted and where to obtain it is set out in WAC 480-62-999.

(2) All violations of the above incorporated rules will be submitted to the Federal Railroad Administration for enforcement action pursuant to the State Safety Participation Program, 49 C.F.R. Part 212.
