The nursing education program shall provide the student in a prelicensure registered nursing program with written information on the legal role of the nursing technician as defined in WAC 246-840-010 and 246-840-840. The information must be provided prior to the time of completion of the first clinical course and shall clearly advise the student of his or her responsibilities, if he or she chooses to be employed as a nursing technician.
