(1) The board may conduct a compliance audit:
(a) Through random selection; and
(b) At the discretion of the board, on nurses under the disciplinary process.
(2) The board will notify a nurse selected for compliance audit at the address on record with the department.
(3) The nurse shall submit continuing education in clock hours.
(4) Failure to complete the required hours and provide the required documentation may be considered an aggravating factor per WAC 246-16-890 in any disciplinary action for a violation of RCW 18.130.180.
