(1) The board will issue a license to licensed practical nurse (LPN) and registered nurse (RN) applicants who pass the relevant board-approved licensure examination described in WAC 246-840-050, provided all other requirements are met.
(2) The board will notify applicants who fail the examination including examination results and information on retaking the examination. The applicant may retake the examination no sooner than 45 days following the date of the last examination attempt.
(3) An applicant who fails to pass the examination after four attempts will not be eligible to retest until the applicant provides evidence of completing a relevant board-approved National Council Licensure Examination prep course.
(4) The applicant's examination results will be maintained in their application file with the department.
