Does the department provide an earned income deduction for the ABD cash program?
The department gives a deduction to people who receive income from work while receiving aged, blind, or disabled cash assistance. The deduction applies to aged, blind, or disabled cash benefits only. We allow the following income deduction when we determine the amount of your benefits:
We deduct the first $500 of gross monthly earnings and then one-half of remaining earnings.
