Whatcom Community College recognizes its responsibility for investigation, resolution, implementation of corrective measures, and monitoring the educational environment and workplace to stop, remediate, and prevent sexual misconduct and harassment as outlined in the Title IX of the Educational Amendments Act of 1972. This policy reflects the Department of Education's final rule, which went into effect August 14, 2020. Whatcom Community College is committed to addressing all allegations of misconduct and harassment, and as such the Title IX coordinator will evaluate each allegation to determine if it fits under the jurisdiction of this policy, this chapter, or chapter 132U-126 WAC.
