How does an individual terminate employment as a provider?

State law makes it a crime to abandon a vulnerable adult. "Abandon" means leaving a person without the means or ability to obtain any of the basic necessities of life.
(1) If an individual wishes to "quit" or terminate employment as a provider, the individual must:
(a) Give at least two weeks' notice;
(b) Notify the client or the client's representative in writing; and
(c) Notify the client's case manager.
(2) The individual will be expected to continue working until the termination date unless otherwise determined by DSHS.
