Section 515—Waste or linen chute venting.

515.1 General. Waste or linen chutes shall be gravity vented in accordance with NFPA 82.
EXCEPTION:
Waste or linen chutes may be mechanically ventilated by an exhaust fan in accordance with Section 713.13.7 of the International Building Code.
