Regulation 107. Exemptions, Waivers, Modifications
(b) Judicial exemption.
(1) Qualified WSBA Judicial members, except for administrative law judges, are exempt from the continuing legal education requirement established by APR 11.
(1) Full-time. Full-time judges, magistrates, court
commissioners, administrative law judges, and the Washington
State Supreme Court clerk or assistant clerk, who are
prohibited by statute, code, regulation, or court rule from
practicing law, are exempt from the continuing legal education
requirement established by APR 11. The exemption ends when
the full-time judicial position ends, if the member is on
active status with the WSBA.
(2) Part time. Part-time or pro tem judges, magistrates, court commissioners, administrative law judges, and court clerks who are active members of the WSBA, are fully subject to the requirements of APR 11.
