What will disqualify a direct support professional providing overnight planned respite services or a volunteer from working in a capacity that may involve access to individuals with a developmental disability?
(1) Criminal convictions and pending charges that disqualify a direct support professional providing overnight planned respite services or a volunteer from working with individuals with a developmental disability are listed in chapter
388-113 WAC.
(2) A volunteer or person employed by an overnight planned respite services provider who receives a DSHS background check with a disqualifying result is prohibited from any unsupervised access to DDA clients.
