Hand hygiene.
A practitioner shall perform hand hygiene as defined in WAC
246-817-610 in any of these situations:
(1) When hands are visibly soiled;
(2) In the event of barehanded touching of instruments, equipment, materials, and other objects likely to be contaminated by blood, saliva, or respiratory secretions; or
(3) Before and after treating each patient.
