Student conduct code authority.
(1) The Green River College board of trustees, acting pursuant to RCW 28B.50.140(14), delegates to the president of the college the authority to administer student disciplinary action. The president is authorized to delegate or reassign any and all duties and responsibilities as set forth in this chapter as may be reasonably necessary. Administration of the disciplinary procedures is the responsibility of the vice president of student affairs or their designee.
(2) Except in cases involving allegations of Title IX sexual harassment, the student conduct officer, or delegate, shall serve as the principal investigator and administrator for alleged violations of this code.
(3) The vice president of student affairs or designee shall develop policies for the administration of the student conduct system and procedural rules for the conduct of student conduct hearings that are not inconsistent with provisions of the student conduct code.
(4) The vice president of student affairs or designee shall determine the composition of the student conduct committee in accordance with WAC 132J-126-180.
(5) Decisions made by a student conduct officer shall be final, pending the normal appeal process.
